STEEL SECTION
Main Equipment in the Steel Section:
1. Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and Ladle Furnace (LF):
- Scrap is melted in the Electric Arc Furnace using electrical energy, supported by energy generated from oxygen burners and natural gas.
- The molten steel is treated in the Ladle Furnace to ensure the required quality is achieved.
2. Continuous Casting Machine:
-
Molten steel is transferred from the Ladle Furnace for casting processes.
-
Standard-sized billets (150×150 mm square cross-section) are produced.
3. Gas Treatment Unit:
- Reduces gas emissions from melting processes, contributing to environmental protection and compliance with environmental standards.

4.Material Addition System:
- Used to add required elements and materials to adjust the molten steel's composition and improve its properties
5.Overhead Cranes:
- Used for efficiently and easily transporting heavy materials within the plant.
6. Lime Plant:
- Produces essential materials for melting and casting operations to improve quality.
Production Process:
1. Scrap is melted in the Electric Arc Furnace using electrical energy, natural gas burners, and oxygen.
2. Molten steel is processed in the Ladle Furnace to ensure product purity and achieve the required characteristics.
3. The molten steel is transferred to the continuous casting machine to produce billets with a 150×150 mm square cross-section.
The steel section forms the core of the production operations at Iraqis Haded Company, where advanced technologies and equipment ensure high-quality products, while maintaining environmental and safety standards.
